FOUNDER
LAURA WHITEOAK.
MSK PHYSIOTHERAPIST, Strength & Conditioning Coach.

Hi, I'm Laura - a teacher turned physiotherapist and founder of Optimal Movement Physio. My clinic is built with the desire to revive the delivery of top quality physiotherapy with a difference.
I'm also a strength and conditioning coach; a skill which sets me aside in my field.

I combine clinical proficiency with over 20 years in the fitness industry and aim to instil confidence in movement to set you up for physical and emotional success; whether you're overcoming injury or wish to improve capability, resilience and potential.

My diverse background in primary education, competitive dance and fitness instructing, equips me with a unique skill set. I blend the technical aptitude to guide your rehab journey from injury through to full fitness and performance in a communicative, relatable way.
Navigating injuries can be mentally and emotionally taxing, especially for regular movement lovers.
Working in a holistic, person-centric manner and treating the person rather than the injury is fundamental. Providing support and a sense of nurture through the process is vital.
With additional qualifications in soft tissue therapy and acupuncture, I offer a flexible, personalised approach tailored to the person in front of me.
Keeping it simple, nailing the basics and building strong foundations are key!
Laura Whiteoak, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MHCPC.
